Last Name for Book Character

Question Posted Friday April 12 2013, 1:02 am

I have a character in a book I'm writing, her name is Taylor. It's a girl and she needs a last name. I was thinking about Taylor Hart or Taylor Lane. What do you think? Any other good last names for Taylor?

Personally I like the name Taylor Hart rather than Taylor lane but that's just my opinion. I just think it fits better.

Other Last names that I can think of to go with the name Taylor are: Scott, Young, Watson. From your list I like Taylor Evans and I also agree with the other answers that Taylor Cray sounds good.

Personally, I think a last name that is a single syllable, containing the same A sound from Taylor, is good, however I don't like "Lane". Having to make another L sound so soon, makes the name a little bit of a mouthful.

I agree with the other person that "Cray" sounds good. Or any any other single-syllable name with the hard A sound, beginning with any hard consonant and definitely not L.

I like Taylor Lane.

I don't know why... It just sounds like a good last name for the name Taylor.

Good luck on your book!
