Its complicated, but i really like her...
So its starts at the beginning of January after winter break:
I joined the play cause Susan(the girl i likED)joined and in the play we should be flirty and all. But then at the start of rehearsals, i started ignoring Susan and thinking about another girl called Victoria. I thought about her day and night, and i was really falling for her, but before i knew it we became good friends and we started hugging and kissing on the cheeks(by the way, she is a brave person and hugs many people.) so we became very good friends and i was also a very good friend of her best-friend. Then the valentines dance came, and she came up to me and her best-friend and asked us to go with her to the dance, which means 2 girls and 1 boy. We both accepted... but there is always a bigger fish!
So another guy asked her(hes like 3 years older than her, but he is also a friend of mine.)and she eventually ditched us two. Then one of our cast members dropped out and we had to search for a new member which eventually became Tom, the one victoria went to the dance with. He started acting flirty with her, and of course there was some jealousy within me, but she didn't stop the hugging and kissing on the cheek. After the play we were still friends and life went on.
March:
Another dance came up, and i recently found out that she likes Tom. I asked her out to the dance no-matter what, and she responded saying:
"I LOVE YOU!! you have a cute but,lol!"
and i was thinking if this is a rejection or if she accepted. But then she said she was going to the dance with nobody. So i thought that it was a kind way of rejecting me, but i also thought that maybe just maybe she was waiting for Tom to ask her, and if he didn't she would go with me.
My question is:
what should i do? i know i should not ask her out to a real date, but Tom is graduating this year.Should i just wait for next year? What should i do???

Now that you gave more detail I am also going to say move on.
Victoria likes Tom, " I love you" is not even a straight answer. If she was interested in you then she would be focused on you. Your right, Sounds like she is waiting for Tom to ask. Stop wasting your time.

I would just move on from this Victoria girl. She seems really care free and likes another guy. Don't wait around for a girl that you don't even know has feelings for you. You said she's the type to hug many people so it gives the wrong impression.
Just move on and find someone who likes you and is a nice girl who doesn't flirt with everyone.

The way you describe it Victoria seems to me as a very care free and casual girl. So if u directly asked u'd probably get the answer your looking for
the part where she says ILY dosent seem too serious so dnt read much into it. Directly talk to her and u'l probably know for sure:)
