Help ASAP: How Do I Make School Faster?

Question Posted Friday March 1 2013, 1:57 am

13/F

So I get super bored in some of my classes - Whether if I'm done with everything, or if my teachers are doing something for a long time.

I can't have my phone out, so what else can I possibly do to make class time to go a little faster? Thanks!

I used to get bored in class when I was younger. I had these little metal puzzles that I'd play with and I got really good at origami. Something else that you could try is a Sudoku, crossword puzzle, or word search book. You can do these at your desk and the teacher probably wouldn't even notice because it would look like you were working on something for the class. Just don't stop paying attention to the lessons entirely because you might miss something important! :)

There are lots of places that you can get these from:

It sounds like you may be in some classes that are to slow for you, meaning the teaching level is geared to slower learners.

If you are getting good grades in these classes A & B type grades. Then it may be possible to be placed in an higher learning level class. Given the time of the year these classes will be far ahead of where you are in your present class so you would have a lot of work to do to catch up.

For a proper education you should find your classes challenging not boring. If this is the case with you. Talk with your parents. If they agree then a meeting with your guidance counselor and the principal should be arranged between then, you and your parents. The goal would be to find you classes with a more challenging environment.

Just be sure of what you want or what the problem truly is before you ask for the help I am recommending.

If you like to read, bring a book. If you don't, maybe bring a book anyway, or a magazine or something. If you like drawing doodle shit on your notes. It's school, and there's going to be a lot of downtime forever. Whatever you like doing, use the extra time to work on that.
