You need to check in with your doctor for there are medications to relieve the symptoms. Other wise the only way to deal with the flu is to drink plenty of liquids and to stay in bed.
I realize the mid term exam is important though feeling as you so I doubt you would do would on it. I suggest you contact your instructor and explain how ill you are and see if a make up exam is possible. Given that the flu is almost epidemic in most states I would think any teacher would take this into consideration. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]

A cold is a viral infection which you cannot simply expel out of you (from any end). Throwing up will in no way make things worse. Plus, this is not a cold.
What you most likely have is some sort of problem with your stomach. It could be inflamtation, food poisoning, a stomach bug of some sort, or perhaps something else (even stress can sometimes produce these symptoms, though this is unlikely). I can tell you (from having two parents who are doctors) that from the symptoms you describe even a doctor would not be able to say what you have with certainty just by reading your question.
