I agree with Skylar73! Since I am a girl, if I liked a guy I would try to make small talk and always smile or laugh at his jokes. I would be a little flirty, but not too flirty like I'm weirding out the guy and making him nervous. I would always stare at him and try to meet his gaze. I would always try to start conversation. But some girls are the opposite. Some, will try to avoid their gazes or be all shy. It really depends on what personality the girl has. Is she quiet and shy or outgoing and bold? If she's the more quiet type, YOU go up and have a little chat with her...make her laugh and giggle.

I think one of the most common signs a girl is attracted to someone is if she wants to spend time with him or if she is often in his company. Granted, she may be shy and try to limit her contact with him just because she does not know what to say, but typically girls enjoy being around the guy they like.
As another advice giver mentioned, I'd say it's also a good sign if the girl laughs or smiles a lot at the stuff you say. She may also joke around with you.
Another sign she might be interested in you is if she asks you a lot of questions about yourself, or, as someone else said, is constantly looking over at you.
These elements basically sum up some of the stuff I have done or have noticed girls do when they like a guy.

In my case, when I like a guy (yes, I'm a female), it's obvious. I can't help it most of the time though. So this is just how I am when I like a guy.
When I like a guy, I look at him. A lot. Even if it's just a casual glance over my shoulder every once in a while. But I'd always find a way to.
When I like a guy, I find excuses to talk to him. Even if it's a really random question or something. I will find a reason to talk to him.
If she looks at you a lot or talks to you a lot, more than a normal girl who's a friend would, then there's probably something there.
Now, i could be totally wrong about that. I'm just speaking from experience.
Also, she'd laugh at a lot of things you said, even your cheesy jokes. Now, in my case, the guy I like right now is hilarious. He makes everyone laugh. But that's beside the point.
To sum all of this rambling up, here it is: If a girl likes you, she'll laugh at what you say. She'll get stars in her eyes when you look at each other. And she'll love talking to you, always.

It depends on the type of girl.
Confident, and she'll always talk to you, make jokes, tease you and touch you slightly (on the shoulder etc)
Shy, and she'll totally try not to make it obvious. So when she sees you, she'll make a point of looking away, and maybe smile at the floor.As soon as eye contact is made she'll break it all of a sudden, and then you'll know.
Of course there are unconsious signs to, such as a girl will play with her hair in your presence, touch her face alot, have her feet pointing in your direction when you're there and if her legs are crossed, if say you're sat on the left, and the right leg is on top, this shows she's open to you.
Also, pupils may dilate, and finally she may play with any jewelry, like rings/ necklaces.
