Ahh, my nose! 25, f. It's getting to be cold over here. I'm stubborn, and running is my cure-all, and I usually run 2-4 miles at a time. I'm going to be running this winter.
The asthma calms down after a few cold jogs, but what drives me crazy is the way my nose runs like a faucet. THEN I have trouble breathing.
Is there any way that anyone knows to make it stop, or at least more manageable?

You obviously already know that the cold air is the reason your nose is runny. Cold air doesn't retain much moisture so when you breathe in the air to your lungs, your nose is trying to create moisture in the air you breathe as it's going to your lungs. Also, the air you breathe out from your mouth condenses as you breathe out (that's why you see your breath in cold weather) and those water droplets of your breath condense on your nose causing your nose to have all this moisture!
Unfortunately, there's no way to make it completely stop since it's your body's way of keeping you healthy. If you try to keep your nose/mouth warm as you run, that may help! But again, your body is trying to keep you healthy. ]
I used to have the same problem. Unfortunately, there is really nothing you can do except sniffle a lot :)
Or if you put your head back, that can help. When my nose runs a lot, I usually just put a little bit of a paper towel in my nose and it helps! It sounds pretty weird, but it only matters if it helps :D
Good luck and take care,
Bella xoxo ]
