how do i get my boyfriend to kiss me?

Question Posted Wednesday August 15 2012, 12:44 am

Okay so I'm 13 and so is my boyfriend. We've talked about kissing and he acted like he would the next time he got the chance. He has had a couple of chances but hasn't taken them. I'm to nervous to make the first move because its my first kiss and this would be his third. How do I let him know without completely just telling him?

Hey girl!

Okay, so you obviously can't MAKE him kiss you unless he wants to. Seems like he has interest, but is trying to find the right moment.

Since it's your first kiss, I'm thinking you have this fantasy of it being just so awesome with fireworks and the guy makes the move - making it super romantic... right?

Well, that can't happen unless HE makes the move. The longer you wait, the better it will get. Why? Because you BOTH will be anticipating it. It will become this treat that you get at the end of a long wait.

Some hints you can drop are - maybe talking about it again (but wait a week). Also, licking your lips casually and making eye contact, but breaking it quickly and looking down. When you are saying goodbye, pause before the hug until he grabs you to give you a hug OR KISS!! or pause after the hug and look up at him while his arms are still wrapped around you.

Hope this helps! Just be patient, the gift is waiting :)

You shouldn't have to say anything. Put your arms around his neck, look up into his eyes and start slowly moving your head closer to his. If he doesn't get the hint at that point he really is dense.

The main problem is that he is 13, which means he is likely to not have much experience with girls and he probably also has a lot of personal insecurity engendered by the onset of puberty.

Maybe you should hint at it. I mean, you guys have already started talking about it so there isn't much worry of rejection.
I totally understand how you'd be nervous about making the first move so I'd just get really close and give small hints that you want to kiss him. Hopefully he'll notice and kiss you.
Also, don't rush it. The first kisses are great and you want it to come naturally. It's going to be fine and you'll enjoy it.

It's not easy to communicate without using words... It takes some creativity. It seems you are aware of the best moments for him to take a chance, so when those moments arise try getting a little closer to him. If you don't want to make the first move, try to make it apparent that you would like to give it a go. However, since he has not kissed you already maybe that's your que that he is waiting on you.

Making the first move can be so scary! Especially when it's your first time. Isn't that the fun of the new experience though? Try it, and feel how exhilarating it is.

I'm sure he is just as nervous as you are. If the right moment seems to arise and he doesn't jump on it, maybe you should give it a try.
