For the last week or so I've been having minor stomach aches pretty much all day but I've been ignoring them as they almost seem to go away if I do. This morning I woke up and I felt like I was having really terrible menstrual cramps but it's not that time of the month and the cramp like pain went away after I got up and moved around.
I felt nauseous on and off today but after I ate dinner I started having weird pains towards the lower right side of my body like farther over than where my stomach would be. It's really starting to bother me today, sometimes it gets bad enough that I actually cringe.
My brother got CDIFF from being in the hospital and I'm starting to wonder if I didn't get it from him when I was visiting but the kind he had made him have diarrhea and the like and I'm not having that problem. I know CDIFF doesn't go away without antibiotics but I don't want to say anything to my mom about it because she's a hypochondriac and she's going to start freaking out and thinking she has it too or get mad that I think I have it and say I'm faking or overreacting (she tends to get irritated when other people think they're sick, like she thinks she's the only one who can ever get sick if that makes sense).
I haven't had any diet or activity changes.
What are some other possibilities?
Should I give it another week and see if it just goes away, could it just be some weird virus or something?
There are a whole host of problems that can manifest themselves in the area of your body you are complaining about. You really do need to see a doctor.
If you are 14 years of age or older; by Federal Law you can make appointments to see a doctor, be seen by a doctor with or without parental permission. When seen by a doctor anything that you say, be examined and treated for is confidential. Meaning no one, including your parents can be told what you have seen the doctor for. This would include any prescriptions you are provided.
This law is called HIPPA and was specifically worded this way so that young people could seek medical assistance for reproductive help without parental knowledge or interference. The pains you are having are in the area of your reproductive organs hence you can seek medical help under this law as long as you are 14 or older. You can go to your family doctor, hospital or any clinic and be seen.
Should your mother be with you she will asked to stay in the waiting room while you are examined. Any information she requests can only be released upon written permission from you to the doctor. without it the doctor or anyone in the doctors employ will not tell anyone what he/she saw you for.
IcanBNE1 answered Tuesday August 7 2012, 10:32 pm: It might be your appendix, some people have some kind of thing with it. I forgot. I might not be much help buuut, Some people get their appendix removed too. Since they had some kind of problem with it. It could also be any other problem with your organs, close to the stomach area. You should probably get it checked out by a doctor. Hope this helps! Good Luck and be sure to get well soon!!
