so i'm a 17 yr old male. my hair has been falling out for a while. since i was like in 7th grade.back then it was bad. when i took a shower alot of hair would come out i mean alot however not chunks. after a while it started falling out less. i have had alot of stress in my life and 7th and 8th grade were very stressful. after i'd say freshmen year my hair started to fall out less but it stil constantly falls out. way less but still. can this possibly caused by stress or maybe genetic since my dad went bald at a fairly young age. any ideas?
Given your age I wouldn't fool around with over the counter medications unless directed by your doctor. Below is a website you can use to find a doctor who is trained and Board certified in hair restoration.

There are products for hair loss, like regain, and other more expensive serums.
But the best thing would be to go to a doctor and check it out. You may not think it to be too serious, but it's not particularly normal for a child in 7th grade to start to lose hair, and there may be an underlying issue.
You should atleast go to the pharmacist, and see if they reckon it's worth going to a doctor for.

It's unusual for a kid aged 13 or 14 to lose clumps of hair like that or to be balding at 17. Your dad may have started early but he's not you. I'm not trying to scare the shit out of you but lets rule out medical reasons for hair loss first and ask a physician their ideas on what to do either way.
