I'm 13/f in 8th grade. i am running the 1600 for track and field. i am really nervous. i have won many cross country meets but track meets make me so much more nervous! everyone is watching! how can i calm myself down and focus during the race? also what are some tips for running it? i can't control myself right now. i am a nervous nelly.

You've won many cross country meets! So you can do it for track, focus on the positive.
Breathe deeply before the race and only say good things to yourself. You can do it, this meet is yours.
Motivation. Do you have anything you really want (besides winning of course, or I guess you could use that)? Imagine it at the end of the race and just put in your all for it.
As so commonly said, 'imagine the audience in their underwear'. Try it, it'll be less intimidating. (:
Generally, don't think about the audience. Be motivated. Find something you want to work for and work super hard for it (that would be the race).
