What do I do about my little sister being attracted to me?
Question Posted Tuesday January 17 2012, 6:47 am
I'm 21 and my sister is 17. I'm fairly attractive, and a bit more attractive and popular than she is. When we were younger she very clearly had a crush on me, but I put an end to it and told her I'm just her brother and nothing more (when she told me she wanted to marry me some day). Now that we are both basically adults, its becoming clear to me that she still feels the same way.
She constantly seeks my attention, physical contact, and her body language is fairly obvious. Its a very weird situation for me to be in, and Ive basically been ignoring it, thinking she would grow out of it. I don't want to bring it up because it would just be weird. What should I do?
June answered Tuesday January 17 2012, 6:12 pm: Oh come on already. She's 17! In till she finds in other man that she thinks is better then you(if ever. she thinks very high of you. you can tell.)she's going to like you. forget about it being "weird". If you don't want to live like this for the rest of you life do you? And what if she makes the move. Then you will just have to talk to her any way. That's why you need to lay down the law right NOW!!!! Tell her that your her sister and that's it and you mean it. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything but this is not the bible time when sister and bothers can just marry. And she's your sister. So you need to stop being attractive to her or all this is going to be a lot heard(er) then it's got to be. P.S.
Don't say it to her like I said. Be a lil more nicer. This is a girls feeling you know. Good luck. [ June's advice column | Ask June A Question ]
