'I love you' talk 21 female. Boyfriend 19
Me and my boyfriend have been together for about 3 and a half months. We've known each other for a long time though. Well after about 2 months of officially being together he told me he loved me. He said he is in love with me and that it might be kind of soon but no girl has made him ever feel this way before. The thing is, I'm not in love with him yet. I told him for me it takes time and he understands that. I love him, but not in love with him yet to the point where i can say 'i love you' to him. It doesn't scare me off that he said it to me early because everyone is different. The thing is, I never know what to say to him when he says he loves me! Because I'm not ready to say it back. And I know he is being 100% genuine about it.

You could say something along the lines of "you're amazing" or you could kiss him on the cheek. Or maybe you could say "I like you" if you both are on different pages then maybe you need to decide whether you truly want to be with him or not. If he's in love with you and you're not with him that can create a problem. ]
He already knows that you are not ready to say it back, so it sounds like he keeps saying it to you to see where you're at. You could start replying "Thanks!" to indicate that you're not ready to exchange the words yet. Say it in a light-hearted, affectionate way. Maybe you could tell him that you care for him on other occasions, *before* he prompts you for a response. Pay him lots of compliments and say things like "I love it when you... blah" so he doesn't get discouraged. ]
