IQ Test

Question Posted Saturday October 1 2011, 8:41 pm

Hello,

I recently took an IQ test, and today I got the results through the post. It says my IQ is in the top 10% of the population. Is that good? I mean, It it worth noting on my resume, etc? Or is that just average? or slightly above?

Any input appreciated. Thanks.
:)

I would put things like your previous jobs and education. It would also be a good idea to add some hobbies/things you like to do on that thing. IQ tests are often wrong. There is no reliable method for determining someones overall IQ. People are good at different things i.e. one person might be a math whizz, another a true story teller. What makes being better at any one task better/ more vauable to a potential employer.

Or something like that. I'm sure you get what I mean to say :)

At the risk of getting a 1 for this answer, if you got "top 10%" and you don't know if this is average or slightly above average, then I don't think the IQ test you took was very accurate... Unless you have solid credentials like MENSA membership, stuff like this does not belong on your resume.

Being in the top 10% is good. Noting it on a resume is not proper. It is a form of bragging.
