k so i graduated highschool last june but i didnt return my textbooks because i forgot but during the summer i gave them into the school office anyways i moved away for university and now my highschool sent a letter asking for 800 dollars to replace the books but i dont even go to the school anymore and i returned my books but they said they never got them so do i still have to pay for them will they sue me if i dont give them the money.
However, I highly doubt the school system is going to want to take the time and effort to take a minor matter to court. If you returned the books, Then they are only going to waste their time and money by looking like an ass. Go back to the school and tell them once again that the books were returned and let them know when you returned them etc. Other than that I wouldn't even worry about it.
