I´m 16 years old and I go to the gym three times a week (tops). I´ve been told to drink protein shakes to accelarate the process of gainning muscle. I´m a little afraid of side effects, tough I want to drink them. Also my parents aren´t so open about it and forbid me because they aren´t "natural".
I can buy them without them knowing, though I feel bad for doing something like that behind their backs. I really want to start taking them right away but I dont know what to do !!!!!!

I also was a member of a local gym back a year ago and about a week after I signed up the trainers began telling me how I needed to buy certain things to tone up etc.
Don't get me wrong, Protein shakes are good for you but on the other hand when I once decided to check them out myself they don't come without a price tag. Whey Protein shakes are no less than 13 bucks. Once you start up the protein you just keep feeding your money into it when you could be doing it all the cheap way by eating a balanced meal with extra protein. ( Fish, Chicken, Eggs) Of course you will get different answers but after so long of buying the health stuff it becomes a costly habit. Gym trainers jobs are to basically be on their customers asses about proper dieting etc which at times becomes a bit excessive and annoying. [ Xui's advice column | Ask Xui A Question ]
