I have a best friend that is a guy, and he goes to another school now that we've moved onto high school. We text all the time, sometimes even during school, when we can. We have nicknames for each other, we have "our song" that is only ours (two or three actually), we have favourite things we like to do together, and it seems like I'm getting close to liking him. I've liked him before, which turned out in a massacre, but we patched it up and look where we are now. We're closer than ever. I even get jealous when he talks to my other friends, which I know sounds unreasonable, but I don't know why, I just get jealous. So, what should I do? Act on it, or just simply carry out this really good friendship with him?

If that isn't what happened why not? Go for it. The worse that could happen is if he says no. If he is your true friend he'll let you donw gently and won't let this effect your friendship. You'll still be close.
Just say Hey (his name), what's up? Carry on a convo for a few seconds and than ask can you tell him something that is deep. Than tell him how you feel and hen your finished say "and I was wondering if you don't like me that we don't let this effect our friendship and we can still be friends."
