i have had a sore throat for about a month..already took antibiotics and hasnt helped and seems to get worse...do i need my tonsils taken out?

It is the only way out... the doctor can only help you , also , in the mean time you are waiting for a doctors appoitment if you go to the doctors, go see a pharmasists also see what they say , call the online health in your country, and it should help you.

None of us are doctors and even if we were we cannot examine you over the web. To make such a decision one needs to look at you tonsils to see if they are enlarged and possible infected.
There is no way around it you need to see the doctor. If the doctor say they need to come out then they need to come out. The operation is relatively simple. You will have a mild sore throat for a few days and cane eat all the ice cream and ices you want. A few days in bed and then you should be back to your old self.
