she called dibbs first
theres this guyat my school and i really like him. apparently so does one of my really good friends. i was going to tell her that i liked him but then she told me that she liked him before i had the chance to talk. she knew i thought he was cute and called dibbs on him. i dont know who he likes...but if he likes me..what would i tell him? that i cant like you my friend called dibbs? i dont want to hurt our friendship..any ideas on what i should do?

well first of all you cant claim someones feelings maybe she is just being hurtful by knowing what you thought of him or maybe she just wasnt thinking of how you felt you just need to talk to her and if your friendship means that much there is plenty other guys out there

Well... if she knew what you thought of him before and said that.. dont' worry she knows that you were the one who called ''dibs'' on it. Look you and your friend might like the same guy... but who does thsi guy like? it can be you ,her, or none.. he will pick who he chooses and wants... so be patient dont worry about if you will get him first or if she will get him first.. he will choose who HE wants not what you or her want. BUT... since if he likes you..you should tell him straight out what the problem is and both of you should agree on something.. theres no need to hurt anyone.. I mean its not like she loves him.. plsu there is so many guys out there.. you can always try and find someone for her that is similar.. trust me..if you guys have a good friendship.. you wont hurt anybody... I think you should just talk it out and see where it goes .. give it time.. maybe she will have second thoughts

Hey,. If you ever read the book 'Evermore' It might help in this situation. Now although she called dibbs. You can not controll who you like. Fact is you both like him,. If he were to like one of you,. One would get hurt,. or you both might get hurt.
Now if he were to like you instead of her,. First thing is i would NOT say oh i can't like you because my friend called dibbs. That is honestly the lamest thing in the world. You deserve to be happy just as much as she does.
If that's the case,. Then i would talk to your friend and be like,. i'm really sorry i know you called dibbs,. but i like him and he likes me. It's not that i mean to hurt you or am doing this on purpose but you can't help who you like.
You don't want to throw away someone who could potentionly be your 'soul mate' just because of a dibbs.
On the other hand. You don't want to lose a friend over it either. As one tree hill brook davis once said 'Hoes over Bros'.
Just make sure to talk to your friend and maybe it might be best not to go for himm. because of the fact she likes him.
No one can tell you what to exactly do. I'm just putting out helpful hints and things to think about before making a snap decision.
