How do you get a wine stain out of the carpet?

Blot out as much as you can. Keep the stain from drying. Use club soda (seltzer water) and continue blotting. Hydrogen peroxide works great as well.

Oxy-Clean is also a wonderful product. My family is accident-prone and we probably keep that company in business - it's great stuff. The laundry pre-treater (in a spray bottle) is potent and portable.
