I have a bump on my labia minora. It's on the very edge of the lip. I didn't notice the bump until I was wiping myself today after using the washroom and felt an uncomfortable tug. My razor slipped and I cut my labia minora a week or two ago while shaving and thought that perhaps that could be it. What else could cause this lonesome bump? It only hurts when I am wiping. It's as though I am wiping something that is very dry - that kind of tugging feeling. It looks like a blister or pimple of some kind when looking at it from the front, but it's flat on the sides. I don't want to prod at it. What could this be?
Also, my partner is completely faithful to me and I to him. We were both tested within the last 5 months and it came back negative for everything.
Additional info, added Friday July 29 2011, 10:44 am: I went to the doctor. It's just irritation from when I cut myself. Told you I don't have any STDs! :P. Had I had this additional information my answer to you would have been different or I would not have chosen to answer this question at all.
Had The additional information that you had seen the doctor been there and I chose to answer you my answer would have been something to the effect: If you are not confident in your doctors diagnoses I would suggest seeking a second opinion.
As to whether or not I would have added the information about the remote possibility of getting an STD from a TOILET SEAT. I honestly can't say. Hind sight is 20/20 therefore almost perfect. I might have, it would depend on your wording and how I interpreted you meaning. I added the information originally because of the fact you possibly had an open cut and after doing some research I felt it would be wrong of me not to include it.
You don't have to like the answer any of us give you. Understand though when we choose to answer a question it is done with hopefully the best intentions. You don't have to like the answer but neither do you have to shoot the messenger.
While it is extremely rare there are several types of STDs that a women can pick up from a toilet seat; you should be tested again.
The fact that this lump is painful to the touch tells me you should contact your gynecologist. What the problem could be is just about anything from and in grown hair, pimple or an infection from where you cut yourself.

snowboardbabe answered Thursday July 28 2011, 11:38 pm: Well.. if you guys both got tested and came out negative.. then it should be alright... but last 5 months? I think you should do one more just to be on the safe side. It might have something to do with the razor you were using... I think it could be a cut or a bump from the razor.. or if you never had this before..you should go see a doctor asap just in case if it doesn't go away or if you never had it before. Have you researched about it? maybe something is up. You should go to the doctor maybe something is happening like an infection or it cant be from your partner ,but go to the doctor asap.
