I was reading online that your feet can start to tingle if you hurt your back or nerves in your back or something & my lower back has been hurting bec I thinknibhurt it from how I've been cracking it..I need to crack my back though or else it will start hurting really bad...but yeah I'm just kind of confused!! I know the feeling your having and you are correct that you may have injured or pinched a nerve. You may want to visit a neurosurgeon. Yea I Know you think neurosurgeon you think brain surgery, so did I. A neurosurgeon is also responsible for injuries to the spinal cord, if that is what your problem truly is.

The doctor will most likely order and MRI so it can be seen if a nerve or the spinal cord is being infringed on. If it is this does not always mean surgery. Many times the problem can be helped with muscle strengthening exercises in physical therapy.

You will never know for sure until you see a doctor. I suggest a Neurosurgeon, although an orthopedic spinal surgeon will also be a good choice.

You're probably sitting for too long & pinching a nerve. You know that feeling when your foot/arm/leg/hand falls asleep if you sit or lay on it for too long? Well, the same thing can happen when you're sitting. Crossing your legs can accelerate this process, and it can happen even if your feet are flat on the floor. Stand up and stretch once in awhile, and walk around a bit if you can.

A lot of people in my family have problems with their back muscles, and many of them do this stretch; it really seems to help a lot.
- Lay on the floor near a couch or chair on your back. Scoot your butt over so you're against the couch/chair, and put your legs on the seat part (you should be making some nice 90 degree angles with your body at this point) I know it sounds like it's not stretching much, but it helps, especially for lower back issues. You can also get into that position while laying on a bed (floor might be too hard) and pull your knees toward your chest.
--- These shouldn't hurt you - if it does, stop immediately!!!

If this feeling happens even when you've been standing for awhile, you may have injured some nerves. To be on the safe side, I'd try to see a doctor. If you did in fact injure your back, they can refer you to a chiropractor or massage therapist.

it could be your back.. sometimes when a nerve is blocked, it affects some other part of your body. So try cracking your back to release some tension in the nerves

Or it could be that your legs aren't getting enough blood circulation. your feet just might be "asleep" as some people say. Stand up and walk around and shake your feet around to get the blood flowing back into them.
