What does it mean when my boyfriend pulls me towards him & places me on his lap? I don't mind this but I'm just curious though why he does it.

This kind of gesture can be good or bad.
Good: he wants you close and wants to show how comfortable he is with you and is trying to be cute in a way.
Bad: he could be doing this to start a sexual act, my ex would do that. So in that case be careful if that is not what you have in mind.
Either way enjoy it or be careful.
