Yes, you absolutely can do this, easily, just as long as the computers are on the same network.
All you have to do is share your printer with the network, then "add a printer" on your laptop, and when it asks you what kind of printer, local or network, choose network.
It should find the printer, and you should then be good to go.

ScottFallen answered Thursday July 14 2011, 4:53 am: The simplest way to do so would be to use a USB flash/jump drive. Save the file to the drive and print it from the other computer. Or even install the printers drivers to your laptop. You could burn the files you want printed to a CD or any other form of storable memory really. Otherwise you can not print from your laptop on the desktop/home PC without undergoing a bit of set up to share files and computer use.
