ddavis014 answered Friday July 15 2011, 11:46 pm: remember one thing for middle school and highschool. EVERYBODY IS NERVOUS!!! your not alone. and be yourself. dont try to fit in. be weird and a little not like everybody else is what i actually think is cool and there will always be a group of people who think that. maybe not at first but probably by the time you start high school, you will have a group of friends, and you wont have to worry about fitting in as much and you will be your own person. dont forget. EVERYBODY IS NERVOUS. i cried before i left for the bus on my first day of middle school. but dont worry. EVERYBODY IS NERVOUS. [ ddavis014's advice column | Ask ddavis014 A Question ]

BasketBallBoy1245 answered Sunday July 10 2011, 5:34 pm: Advicee. Get involved in sports you make friends alot faster and are accepted a lot easier. Don't become friends with the wrong people your first few days just be super nice to everyone but be careful who you become good friends with, try to get in with the more popular people it will make your life a heck of a lot easier. And always be yourself! That doesn't mean share that you play WoW 24/7 it means show the good parts of you and be confident and life will be great! adviceman49 answered Sunday July 10 2011, 10:59 am: My best advice is to relax. When my son was your age he too was all stressed out about going to middle school, having to change classroom, make new friends and find his way around a new school. That summer he drove us crazy. First day of school came and went, he came home and it was like I wanted to strangle him for what he put us through that summer. He had a great time, made new friends and loved his teachers.
It is normal to be somewhat anxious over new places and new adventures; just not to the point of being totally paralyzed. Your teachers understand that this is all new to you and your classmates feel as you do.
Middle school is not that much different then elementary school. It is just that you are treated a little more like the older students you are and less like little kids. You'll have a little more freedom an free time in middle school then you had in elementary school.
nikz answered Sunday July 10 2011, 9:12 am: don't worry it's completely normal to be stressing about middle school because it's a new experience but trust me when i say it's going to be fine, i've been there and i felt how you're feeling but once i entered i felt really silly for stressing about it, just walk in confidently and strike up conversations, compliment people just be friendly and walk with your head held up
