I'm not confident about my body and always feel self conscience about my legs... even though all my friends say I'm skinny. I've realized that pretty much all females think they are fat, even though most of them aren't. What I do to try to stay thin is eat right (no chips/salty things, they make you retain water and make you look bigger, no more than one sweet a day, try to avoid soda and drink plenty of water) and exercise is HUGE. And how you get muscle. I am a tennis player, and have gotten a lot of great muscle from tennis. I would just make sure you exercise at least once a day, and there are a lot of exercises you can do for more muscular legs like wall-sits, lunges, and squats. Good luck and hope this helps! And don't worry I feel the exact same way about my body :) [ steamboat815's advice column | Ask steamboat815 A Question ]

For right now I would suggest proper exercise and a good diet is what you should concentrate on. When school reopens in the fall ask you physical education for a proper exercise routine that you can do at school or at home to keep your body fit and toned.
Your way to young to be this concerned with your physical image. Support your changing body with proper exercise and diet and you body will mold itself properly. When your a few years older you can then work to tone up those area that might need a little extra attention. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]
VoiceofReason answered Saturday July 9 2011, 5:45 am: Running and/or a lot of walking should do the trick.
Swimming a mile or two a few days a week will tone your leg muscles to beautiful effect, but your thighs will likely get more muscular if that is a concern for you. I think swimmer's bodies are killer plus swimming exercises every muscle of the body, burns buttloads of calories and it will improve aerobic conditioning. Plus it is low impact on joints, unlike running, which is jarring to the knees and back. [ VoiceofReason's advice column | Ask VoiceofReason A Question ]
