So I've been with my boyfriend for two years now and we just recently started having sex. I'm 17 and I've been on the pill since I was 15. We're both eachothers firsts and I just wanna know if I really can have sex without a condom. Like all doctors say always use a condom but they're so gross and the lube always burns me. We've both been tested so I really just wanna know if the pill really does mean I can have sex without one. Are there things I need to do? Only specific times during the pill cycle I can have sex without protection?

If you want to up your chances of not being pregnant, get a cervical cap and use it with a spermicide (kinda messy, but having a baby is much messier, no?).
Also remember, that ALL OF THEM HAVE TO BE USED CORRECTLY. If you forget to take your pill one day that means either you use a condom or IUD for the next month or no sex. [ VoiceofReason's advice column | Ask VoiceofReason A Question ]

Try getting a different brand of condom maybe its just the ones you have been using... Even while taking the pill you still have a risk of getting pregnant, it is a small risk but still there is a risk...
"The effectiveness of birth control pills depends entirely on how they are used. While the stated effectiveness is 96-99% in reality this rate is much lower, around 87%. Poor user habits are the reason for the discrepancy. Taking the Pill at different times of day, missing days or skipping pills all decrease the effectiveness."

the effectiveness of birth control can also be lowered when taking an antibiotic...
also a big reason you want to use a condom even with birth control is that you dont want to get an std even if you were tested you never know he could go out and have sex with someone else and catch it and then pass it to you... always wear a condom!! Good luck [ YoungMommy's advice column | Ask YoungMommy A Question ]
DangerNerd answered Friday July 8 2011, 12:26 am: Here is something that many people don't know:
There is no reliable test for HPV (genital warts, cancer) in men. Also, sometimes herpes doesn't show up on the standard test. I mention this only because a condom will not prevent you from getting either of these things.
If you are having an allergic reaction to the lube, you are going to have to change things up. Talk to your doctor and make sure no permanent damage has been done from that.
Many people are allergic to the spermicidal lube used in most condoms. There are alternatives out there.
Also, to confirm: you can get pregnant at any time in your cycle.
You mention being each other's "first..." Make REALLY sure you both have the same definition of "first."
One young woman who posted here told her boyfriend he was her first, but failed to mention she had had oral and anal sex with over a dozen guys. As you can imagine, he was a little surprised when she gave him herpes on both his face and groin area... considering she told him she was a virgin.
Make sure you know what he is thinking about this, and if you are one of those girls who have an alternate reality version of virginity, please let him know before he finds out from someone else. I am not saying you are, just put that in there in case you thought differently when you were younger. [ DangerNerd's advice column | Ask DangerNerd A Question ]

Yes, you can have sex without a condom but think about the consequences beforehand.
If you are taking your pill as directed, you most likely have a very little chance of getting pregnant but there's still that small chance. I wouldn't play with fire.
The condom on the other hand protects against both STD's and pregnancies and using the pill with it makes your chances little to none.

If you don't want a baby, I recommend using both condom and birth control. It may be uncomfortable and annoying but it is better to be smart then to be sorry and regret what you did. There is no specific time, Pregnancy happens whenever it wants to happen. [ Xui's advice column | Ask Xui A Question ]
