It's totally fine. I would reccomend you keep your fingernails short with no snags. If you're going to use something else, like a long candle or whatever, make sure it's smooth and you wash it well afterward to prevent contamination the next time you use it. I hope this helps and good luck.

No it's not bad, just be careful and make sure your objects are sanitary and nothing sharp to cause bleeding.
