Okay so I am a cheerleader and I want to kno. Which tampon works best for being a flyer. I am lookin between playtex sport and kotex. Which one is better?? And if you have one that works even better just say. Normal flow not too heavy bu some days it is a little heavy. I am 98 pounds and I am 5' 2". Thank you!!! :)

I've tried Playtex Sport and Kotex, and I notice that kotex is thicker and wider. I like using it because it is easy to put in and absorbs a lot.
Your tampon will not come out during flying or tumbling or toe touches. Make sure you insert it properly (you shouldn't be able to feel it's there, and the string should dangle between an inch and two inches from you.) and change it often. If you insert one just before practice, you should be fine.
I would try both brands and see which you prefer. Both will be effective.

If you have a variable flow and you move around a lot I'd definitely suggest the menstrual cup (I'm a DivaCup fan). It's very soft and flexible, I've never had a leakage problem and they're very eco-friendly as well as body-friendly. There's a certain 'ick' factor involved, but you get over it pretty darn fast. You can leave it in for up to 12 hours no matter how heavy your flow is, then you just empty it, rinse it off and pop it back in. Takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it you will wonder how you ever lived without it. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
