It depends what time of the year you're going in. Generally, NSW experiences really hot Summers, mild winters and moderate rainful.
I went to Sydney during September/October, which is Spring over there and it was around 25°C/77°F most of the time and pretty humid. A few days we were there the temperature did go as high as 30°C/86°F.
In the Summer months (November-February) it is generally incredibly hot, temperatures usually stay around the 30°C/86°F and it is very, very humid. In the coldest months (April-July), temperatures are around 8-16°C/46-61°F.
Sydney occasionally experiences dust storms and flash flooding but these are relatively uncommon. To the warm climate it is also prone to drought. ]
