Who do I turn to to avoid suicide?

I'm the girl that cuts and thinks about suicide too often. I know there has to be something wrong with me mentally and that I need help. But I have no friends that I can trust, no one that even likes me. The teachers all look away whenever I come by. My parents are the type that are obsessed with image. If I tell them anything that could damage their image, they ignore it and pretend like it's not even there. So what do I do? I don't want to do it, but some days are harder to ignore than others. Who do I turn to?

Take Niacin you can get it at any GNC or vitamin shop.

It is why suicidal patients get better. Look it up.

Its your only option Most people will be totally cured from depression im a matter of weeks.

I have tried every thing there is and this is the only thing that works.

Dont stop taking it. With out Niacin it is impossible to get better.

Don't end it because of other people. They shouldn't effect your life. You honestly shouldn't off yourself because your sad. If you need to talk to someone try to open up and make a friend or two

I feel your pain. You feel all alone and the few people who you do trust would feel hurt if you express to them how you truly feel. People usually don't understand how to interact when you mention suicide so they just shut down emotionally or lash out verbally.

You probably have a bright future outside of high school but that seems so far into the future. I think there is a support group called Emotions anonymous. Google it for your area, i think it would help. You need to be able to express yourself to others who can empathize with your pain in a non judging way.

Yeah, you want attention and positive reinforcement and aren't getting it, so you cut yourself to obtain it. Not unusual.

The other part of it is that your parents have narcissistic personality disorder and you're pretty much an unwitting captive to their illness.

Aside from the usual advice of "go see a therapist," (pretty facile, no?), the only thing I can urge you to do is to take control of your life and just try to determine your own path. What do you want to do that would make you happy?

The other thing you have to realize is that high schools are basically conformity machines for teens swallowed up by their own ignorance and insecurity. That is why they are there, to make everybody willing little corporate cubicle slaves who display fealty to the military industrial complex that runs this country. So anyone with real brains and an ability to think in an original manner kinda gets ostracized. Once you are legally allowed to extricate yourself from that crap (like going to college) you will find more people like you and will finally be able to move forward with your life.

So make plans to move away to college in order to get away from your toxic parents and the stifling cattletown you live in. Believe me, it gets a lot better from there as long as you continue to act in a way that keeps all your options open (in other words, no pregnancy, drugs, debt or crime).

As someone who suffers from depression I have learned on thing about depression and those that suffer with depression. We tend to perceive thing differently than what the really are.


You could be very right about what you have written or you could be very wrong as you are perceiving things through the haze of your depression. Yes, I believe you are suffering some form of depression, which is the reason for your cutting yourself and your suicidal thoughts.


Asking for help is the first step in recovery. The second step is getting help. If you are feeling suicidal or feeling as if you need to cut yourself at this time; you need to call 911 now. This is the purpose of 911 to help people who are sick, in danger or in crisis. If you feel like hurting yourself you are both in danger and in crisis so call 911 for help. It does not matter how old you are, they will send people to help you and take you to the hospital where a doctor will care for you.


If you are not in danger or in crisis you should make an appointment to see you family doctor. Should you be correct about your parents, I don't think you are, your doctor after completing an examination and making a determination can if you approve inform you parents of anything about your medical condition. If you are found to be suffering from depression your parents will be told and they will be informed of what is needed to be done as far as further treatment.


I wouldn't be surprised,, if after speaking with your doctor, that the parents you see as image obsessed don't turn into very caring and loving parents. Remember what I said about perception and depression. The fact that you perceive it makes it real, it does not make it right.


Now either call 911 if you need too or call your doctor first thing Monday Morning and ask for an urgent appointment and tell them why. You have taken the hardest step, the rest are easy.

you are not being cute, you are not being funny, you are not going to get attention, so stop it. Im being blunt here, but inflicting pain on yourself is not only wrong, its inhumane, and you are stupid for doing it. Im telling you the truth, im not gonna lie to you and say that "its okay to express by killing yourself"
You have problems? You think so? Think about starving kids in Africa and people with AIDS in southeast Asia. THEY HAVE PROBLEMS. You think you have if bad? Get the hell over it.
Turn to a friend, a parent, a teacher, a counselor, your principal, a doctor, a psycologist. Anybody. There are billions of people in the world, pick one to help you and stop cutting yourself. Its not going to help.
