Okay I have friends, but no one close. I don't have any girlfriends that I can call whenever I need to talk and advice. I have family , but we all know that's... different. I just need someone... how do I go about making a new friend.... help!
if your like me and have a habit of putting up boundaries, well your going to need to stop it now! invite a friend over for a sleep over or go out for the day, open up to them a bit , tell them something about you, and go from there.
Making friends is easy, just smile and laugh, go with it, dont be the party pooper that isnt up for a good time
lovealways1221 answered Saturday April 9 2011, 1:30 am: hey! your question is seriously my life. I'm in the exact same boat as you! I have plenty of friends, but i don't have a true loyal honest good friend that i can talk to about anything!
I found out that if you're the first person to reach out to people, it helps a lot. Like right now for example. I'm reaching out to you first. If you notice someone you have something in common with, reach out towards them and make the first move. say hi and introduce yourself. say something funny to make them smile. and just let the conversation flow from there. don't force things, just let them happen naturally.
anyways, my email is twixtwix26@gmail.com if you ever need to talk to me, i'll be here! I know what it feels like not to have anyone to talk to, so my job is to prevent other people from feeling like that :) just like the other advicenator said, we can be friends too!
