I'm a fourteen year old girl who is almost a sophmore. I'm a little lost on all the technical stuff about college. I want to become a doctor, a pediatric oncologist specifically, and I dont know how to even start the progress. I'm very confused. Help?
You need to have passing/acceptable grades at school, so come senior year, you will have many college options. When it's time to choose a college, I suggest you look for a college with good programs that lead to the career of your choice. Just remember that it will take much time and effort. But for now, worry about giving your best at school, right now. Trust me you have a lot of time :) Good Luck [ OctoberSolaire's advice column | Ask OctoberSolaire A Question ]

I didn't know until I went to my college orientation. Like you, I also had something in mind but I changed my career choice. If you want to become a doctor, just stay motivated and make sure you do well in school. When you're a junior or a senior in high school, you will research what colleges would be the best options for you. You start the college process and applications when you're a senior. Don't rush it, you have plenty of time. When the time comes, you will get all of the help you need ; especially from the staff at the college you pick. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
