Youtube Converters... illegal D:?

Question Posted Wednesday February 23 2011, 7:13 pm

Just out of curiosity, are youtube converters illegal? Because I was told that if no one paid for it, it's illegal... So, couldn't you trace some music that someone posted on youtube because they bought the CD or does that not count???

Hi there,

This question isn't something that is easily answered. This is a copyright issue.

If you have permission of the owner of the content you are downloading, then there is no problem. If you don't, then there is a problem.

YouTube has a tutorial/quiz thing setup on their site:

It was really interesting when I went through it.

Have fun!
