You can't, hun. Why do you want to stop it? You'll find you can do things you normally would whilst on your period, even swimming.

Usually your period will "stop" if you go swimming for longer than thirty minutes OR if you shower for longer than thirty minutes. It will stop for up to a couple hours, but really it all depends on your body.
