Is being shy really that big of a deal? I need to vent, I am SO tired of hearing from every single person that i meet that I'm sooo shy and quiet-yes i think i know myself by now thanks. Seriously why is it such a huge deal that everyone has to comment on it? Yes, im quiet and shy, but it's usually only around people that i dont know. When I'm around friends and family im pretty outgoing and I talk...but when i meet new people, I just cant help it, im a quiet person. I just want to snap when someone says it, its like yes i know im quiet lol, not everyone is extremely bubbly and loud! Is being shy and quiet really that big of a deal to people? Some people say "well maybe you should be more outgoing", but thats not how i am naturally, im quiet!

Don't take it too seriously. Don't be offended by it, but learn to laugh at yourself a bit. Next time someone says that to you, smile, shrug and nod and say "I'm a thinker. What can I say?" and leave it at that. It takes all kinds in this world. Shy people AND outgoing people. Your personality is just as valuable the next. Don't forget that. ]
Haha I understand, I'm the same way. You can't really stop people from noticing it, it's just how you are. I never really thought it was a huge deal that I was shy and quiet...I figured if someone was really interested in meeting me then they'd make an effort to talk to me. If someone makes an effort then I respond, but I usually don't make the first move. Anyways, just ignore it when people say that...they'll get over it. Goodluck, Jess. ]
