hi so i am a sophomore in college and i need to get a laptop for school, to take notes, write papers etc. next semester i am taking chemistry, psychology, and history. i know for sure I'll be using it for psych. and history. so what kind of laptop would i need? i want one with lots of space, a good hard drive, doesn't weigh a lot, etc. so if you could give me some ideas that would be great. thanks!

A Mac computer would be a great investment for you to make, but if you are a little tight on money, you could always go for a laptop table. (:

I agree, a MAC is great, but if you're tight on money then i suggest a refurbished (or non refurbished if you want to pay the full price) on the dell inspiron 15.
you know, the lollipop laptop commercials? i love this computer. it has windows 7, which i like a LOT
and my computer never crashes.
it has a very fast pentium hard drive and i have about 250 gigs!
it's light, and if you buy the full priced one online, you can choose your own skin for it,
orrr if you get a refurbished one you will have to go for what color the person is selling it as, but there are also other websites to buy customizing skins.

i really love this laptop. it has been very good to me, and out of all the windows, this one is the most user friendly.

You should get a MacBook Pro Laptop. It never crashes and I got it my first year in college. And then after that my whole family became MAC people. It's light too and has a lot of space. And college students get a free ipod touch if they buy a MAC only if they're a full time student. I totally suggest a macbook pro. It's worth the money.

Well i just recently got a Compaq today. And it works very well. It holds up to two MB but the RAM can be stored up to four MB which is pretty much a lot for writing papers and other things for school. It really is a great computer and it's really thin, and theres a program in here where you can take sticky notes :) and other things. It is about 400 dollars. But if you really want a GREAT one go to a local computer store and ask them for the best laptop with all of you needs. It'll probably cost up to maybe 700 maybe.

Good luck.
