You can get them prescribed by a doctor or you can get them for a cheaper price at Planned Parenthood. karenR answered Wednesday December 22 2010, 7:02 am: You have to go to a doctor. You don't have to go to an OBGYN doctor. A general practitioner or family doctor will do. Most of the time they will do a pelvic exam also.
