Well you can try what the person before me said. But only if you really feel like it disrupts you in life.
Otherwise, my advice would be to embrace your quirk. When I get scared my arms go up to my sides and flutter back and forth. If I get extremely excited I smile really big and make and "eee" sound.
Your quirks are part of what make you YOU.So what if you rub your hands together or scratch your forehead? It makes you special and the people that love you will think it's cute or won't care.

Having little habits is an important part of learning to love yourself. And that's the best trait you can have. :)

haha that is kinda weird no offense. sorry. but you have to think about this- everybody has habits. my habit is biting my nails and picking at my cuticles. other peoples could be cutting, or whistling, humming, biting lips etc.

the way to get over your habits takes a long time and a lot of patience. try doing this- take a piece of duct tape (or any kind of tape that isnt clear) and put it on your hand. it could be on your finger, palm, thumb, back of hand, wrist etc. just anywhere on your hand. then take a pen/permanent marker and write on the tape and write- STOP. then everytime you rub your hands together or scratch your nose or face, you'll see the tape that says STOP and you'll realize that you need to stop your habit.

also, i suggest telling people who normally see you everyday. like your parents or close friends. that way, if they see you doing it, then can pull your hands down and stop you. just let them know and say "hey i'm trying to stop this habit, can you please stop me whenever you see me doing it? thanks"

another thing, if you master this task, you should reward yourself. my reward's are usually some hot cookies or buying myself a new outfit. whatever you like, reward yourself for being discipline and obedient :)

you CAN do this! have faith. believe it. research shows that if you think about it and keep telling yourself you CAN do it, you will end up doing what you want and succeeding. its all mental. keep a positive mind and don't think about failing or saying "oh i cant do this its too hard" none of that. keep your mind positive and keep telling yourself you CAN do this!
