sanyo zio vs lg optimus s
i have my choices narrowed down to these two phones i watched the videos on you tube for each of them, alot of the zios videos show that the touch screen isnt that great or reactive? i was wondering if anyone had trouble with it? please write back asap

Yes, the LG Optimus S has the keayboard available in both formats, but it doesn't cover the entire screen in either mode. If it did, you wouldn't be able to see what you were typing. :-)
The LG seems like a nicer phone to me, just from tech specs, reviews and the general layout.
The best way to get a feeling for the touchscreens, especially the Sanyo Zio, is to go down and play with the demo phones.
If you really hate the on-screen keyboard, there is always the Samsung Transform available with a slideout keyboard for not too terribly much more money.
