Yes, this goes very well together many times.

A nice-length skirt with boots and leggings is perfectly acceptable. Most girls do go for traditional black or brown boots but now with fashion being kind-of out there you can even spice it up with something like red boots or striped leggings. Mid-calf to short skirt goes just well with it. High or short boots. Dark or light leggings.
