So, I've been on birth control for almost two years now and never had a problem with it. My boyfriend and I don't use protection because of my BC. I know its not 100%, but we use the pull out method. Recently we've stopped doing that every once in awhile. What are the chances of me getting pregnant with/without the pull out method?
If you take the bc pill at the same time every day, that's a very effective method, but does nothing to prevent herpes, warts or many other STDs. A condem would help with that. [ bliz's advice column | Ask bliz A Question ]

When taken correctly, the Pill is over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. This means that less than 1 woman in every 100 will get pregnant in a year. In other words, as long as you are taking your birth control at the same time every day, are not on antibiotics and don't have any sickness or diarrhea then the chances of you conceiving are very slim.
However, there is still a chance, however small and the pull out method isn't always effective either. It's up to you to decide whether or not you want to risk the small chance but if you are worried, it might be a good idea to use condoms as a back up.
