shaving your area

Question Posted Tuesday October 5 2010, 11:41 pm

I am a female and I have a problem with getting really bad raxor burn when I shave my area. I usually take really hot baths and let it soak for a while and then use conditioner and shave. But when it starts growing bad I get really bad bumps and ita very annoying. Any suggestions?

Beard trimmer.

Costs like twenty to thirty bucks for one with several guards. You can get the hair down to a tiny, insignificant amount without causing razor burn or ingrown hairs. It's close enough to shaved and if you need to clean up the bikini area for swimsuit wear you can do so without having the most sensitive areas getting irritated.

Exfoliate the area before you shave, moisturize directly after with a thick lotion, and then exfoliate the following day (following with another application of thick lotion). There are some nice exfoliating mits or gloves you can purchase in your bath and beauty care section of the stores to help avoid using exfoliates getting into the vaginal area and setting up infections.

Try to use something thicker than conditioner to shave. There are creams, lotions, gels, and foams specifically made for shaving the pubic region. Conditioner for hair is just too thin usually.

There is also some red bump reduction gel you can purchase from stores in the shaver area. I'm not entirely sure what the name of the stuff is but I did hear it works well. The bump reducing gels should help protect the skin enough from razor burn.
