Unintentionally making crush jealous?

Question Posted Tuesday October 5 2010, 11:19 pm

I have a crush on a boy and am fairly certain that it is mutual. But there's this other guy in my class who likes to talk to me and walk with me. He's a cool guy but I definitely don't like him as more than a friend.

I notice my crush stares at me when this other guy sits next to me and starts talking to me and I feel bad! I want my crush to know that I like HIM and only him! But obviously I'm I don't want to admit it myself -_-.

How do i make this other guy go away??

I've had similar problems, so I know its not fun.
Talk to your crush. Get your flirt on!
And make sure this other guy knows your only friends.

It may just be time to simply approach your crush.

Dumping off a possible-friend (male or otherwise) could end up being a bad move. Friends are always good to have around. Even if this guy has intentions on being more than a friend it doesn't mean you should completely dismiss his presence because you have a crush on someone else.

Go on and make your moves to your crush. He'll get the idea that you're not even interested in the guy that is hanging around you often. On your first date with your crush you can even bring up, "Yeah, the guy in history is a pretty nice friend but sometimes I wish you and I could talk some more instead."

Ask your crush if he's free for the weekend if you're up to it. If you can't bring yourself to ask him out publicly then you can give him your phone number or ask for his.

If you find yourself not even wanting to be friends, now and in the future, with this one guy then you can just be honest and straight-forward with him by dropping the bomb:

You: "Hey, can I ask you something private?"
Him: "Sure. Yeah. What is it?"
You: "I have a HUGE crush on BOY over there. Do you think he might like me back?"

Ta-da! Flirty boy might be hurt if he was interested in you but it does get the point across. The only thing left that is a possible "danger" is that flirty-boy might get jealous/upset and tell everyone about your crush.

Which means, you would have been better off asking you crush to get to know you better before ;)
