I was forced to quit my job. How can I make money from home?
Question Posted Sunday August 29 2010, 11:15 am
I just recently was forced to quit my job waitressing by my parents (even though I am 18 I have to abide by their rules since I'm living under their roof)
Anyway, I used to make really good money working there. Now, I have to work from home. I teach piano, and I was wondering what a good way was to find students. I teach at a professional level and have been doing so for years.
Any suggestions? Also, any other way to make money from home (as I'm going to college that's an hour away from home, I need my schedule to be flexible. I'm saving this money to rent a room closer to the university)

Contact other teachers - they may have too many students or students that might be better off with your style of teaching, or your location could be better
Figure out who your ideal student is - beginners?
experienced? type of music? and let people know that's your specialty
Ads where mothers are - usually mom is going to make the decision about this. Where are moms? Day care, schools, music stores, home school groups
