my skin is disgusting

Question Posted Thursday August 26 2010, 10:57 am

i have so many red spots on my face, i think they are acne scars but i'm not really positive. its almost impossible to cover it up so i look gross all the time. i use a toner/astringent from clean &clear every night because i heard that was supposed to even out the skin tone but it doesnt. i use st. ives green tea scrub in the morning because its supposed to reduce redness but it doesnt. i just dont know what to do and it makes my self esteem go down so much. i cant wait for the day that i can walk out in public without makeup on. anyone know how i cant get my skin evened out?! i will love you forever.

I have the same problem. Mine are acne scars though. If you used to have severe acne, or just little bits but are gone now you probably have the exact same problems. I use a scar cream on my face, like maderma (i think that's spelled wrong) but they sell scar removal creams in drugstores, some specifically for your face.

If not, there's a clean and clear 3 in one pack. It's made for acne and for scars left by acne. It's used to prevent any break outs you might be getting, and to remove the scars you have. it's really helpful and you only have to use it once every night before you go to bed.

For now, I use a really good cover up it's by L'Oreal. It's called "True Match" you choose your shade and you buy the concealer and then the powder. Both of these cover really nicely and make your skin look extra smooth.

If none of this helps your situation, you may want to schedule an appointment to see a dermatologist.

Hope this helps! Good Luck.

I would say go to the Dermotologist asap because if you don't go too soon it can get worse , or you can try Accutane it actually works , so you never know , but don't let it bring you down your probably as beautiful as ever don't worry about it. My advice to you is go see a Dermotologist and try different medicines and consult with your doctor.

Good luck girl : )

I think a dermatologist is the best person to consult. Get a referral from your family doctor and tell that doctor what you told us about self-esteem issues and what you have tried to do.

It may require prescription cream to clear it up or some other kind of treatment. This type of specialist deals with skin problems exclusively and has probably seen a lot of cases exactly like yours. Don't fret it can be dealt with.
