Due to outsoursing, a friend was let go, after 12 years of service, in March 2010. She was asked to stay an additional 3 months - June 2010, but declined. She received her severance package. Recently, she found out, that 2 temp were still there and performing her duties, which were not outsourced. Was she let go unfairly and what can or should she do?
JesusFreakGirl answered Wednesday August 4 2010, 7:07 pm: Unfair to her, yes. Good for the company, yes. Its better to have multiple part time temporary people doing one job than to have one solid person that you would have to give benefits to. Its cheaper for the company, but I find it stupid and quite unfair. [ JesusFreakGirl's advice column | Ask JesusFreakGirl A Question ]
