okay, so I started my period a couple of days ago, and my bestfriend asked me if I wanted to go swimming with her tomorrow I said yes, because i'm not that heavy. I don't wear tampons only pads so would it be ok if I wear a dark bathing suit and a panty liner?
bakahaido answered Tuesday August 3 2010, 7:22 am: no. it's totally unhygienic. how would you feel if your friend was the one with the period instead?
Be considerate towards other people, and the pool cleaner. Your swimming can wait another day. [ bakahaido's advice column | Ask bakahaido A Question ]

vikkikimberly answered Saturday July 31 2010, 5:38 pm: i wouldnt take the person below me adivce. because periods are unpredicatble sometime i get a realy heavy flow. othertimes im normal flow.
personally i think you should not go or face up to tampons.
secondly the moment you step into water. your pad/paryliner is gonna go all mushy and soak up the water and tear itself up. so not a good idea! unles you decide to sit on the side of the pool. with you butt out of the water? [ vikkikimberly's advice column | Ask vikkikimberly A Question ]
Icanhelpyou123 answered Saturday July 31 2010, 5:24 pm: Dont wear the panty liner in the water but wear a dark dark bathing suit and right after you get out of the water run to the bathroom with a pantyliner (hidden in you arms or waterever and replace the pantyliner then before you go back in go back to the bathroom take it out and run as fast as you can into the water. That's my best suggestion if you dont want to wear tampons hope it works!! [ Icanhelpyou123's advice column | Ask Icanhelpyou123 A Question ]
