I just graduated from college with an education degree and am now uncertain if I want to be a teacher...plus I'm having trouble finding a job anyway. I'm living back at home, while the rest of my friends have either not yet graduated or have found jobs and moved away. I'm trying to decide what to do with my life...I'm only 22 and still looking to have some fun...but at the same time want to utilize my degree. I know grad school is an option, but then I'm really over-qualified if I do decide to become a teacher. What should I do?
If you are wanting to be a professor at a post-secondary school, you will have to go to grad school. Either way it's a good idea :)
Just because you have a teaching degree doesn't mean that's what you have to go to grad school for. You can get a Master's in another subject of interest that is in someway related to teaching. That way you have more options.

Just a heads up, I'm taking a stab at your question, considering I'm not sure what you should do.
You mentioned you want to be a teacher, so I'm thinking you want to work anywhere from pre-k through 12th grade. How about becoming a Professor at a University? You won't be overqualified then.
In my opinion, if you don't mind school, I say get another degree in another field you like. So what if you have 2 degrees? That shows that you think outside the box. I know many people who have gone to school for teaching or nursing, and now they're on totally different tracks! It's all about how patient and determined you are. I'm sorry you're not able to find a job right now... I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do! And I'm sorry if I wasn't much help.
