mmkay... so theres this guy that Ive been talking to a lot lately, and he says that Im cute and really nice to talk to. He said that nothing would probably happen anytime soon, considering our age difference, and considering he lives in another state. I know what you're thinking, nothing would ever happen, and this girl should date/like someone her own age. I've tried. I just cant stop thinking about him. Just talking to him puts a smile on my face. He said that in the future, we'll never know what might happen. We might be together. I told him that he didnt have to say that stuff just because I like him. I told him to say exactly what he was thinking. Then he said that he thinks I'm amazing. He's a really sweet guy, and he says that he's gonna wait till he gets married to have sex. (dont ask how that came up) But... I dont know what to do. Obviously, nothing's going to happen anytime soon, but is there any hope for me at all?

Online boys are never the best. You can't really tell who someone is or how they act until you really meet them in person. On the fact of the five year age difference, that is just unlikely. You are fourteen, you should be out just being a teenager, staying up too late, hanging out with your friends until you can't stand them any more, and playing way too many video games. You aren't going to find your true love at this point in your life, especially not through the internet, bad idea. You should worry about boys your own age because they are around the same maturaty level as you and plus you can see them everyday at school and around town. If this guys is bringing up not having sex until he is married, then surly he is thinking about it and may be thinking about doing something with you. Focus on you and being a teenager while you are at this age not older guys and falling in love too quickly.

He may be nice and he may be sweet. What you need to understand is that most males who prey on young girls always are nice and sweet. If they weren't,
they wouldn't be able to play them so well.
At the very LEAST, this guy is extremely immature for his age. Most 19 year old males are out actively
dating girls their own age. They are not online picking up 14 year olds.
He is going to say ANYTHING that makes this whole online relationship sound legit to you.
My advice is that you really need to look for a guy your own age who can take you out on real dates. Do not waste your youth waiting for a suspicious online relationship to someday happen.

It should raise concerns, At 19 he is a man legally. Stay away from him, Maybe when you get older (18) when you are legal you can consider dating. However for now you are a minor and he is an adult and can get in serious trouble. That's WRONG
