MissM answered Friday July 16 2010, 11:09 pm: I was once told that if you mix natural aloe vera with a little bit of alcohol it can serve as a substitute for astringent but that's as much as I know. :/ [ MissM's advice column | Ask MissM A Question ]
Teza answered Friday July 16 2010, 6:17 pm: Aloe Vera does moisturize skin, but because it's made from a natural plant, you won't break out unless you're allergic to it. If you can use it on the rest of the body, then you can also use it on your face. The skin on your face is a lot more sensitive, so don't use a lot and you can use it if you're sunburn as well. keepitsimple answered Friday July 16 2010, 5:26 pm: Most people aren't allergic to Aloe, in fact, in its natural form (unprocessed) it is safe to eat. You may want to try and apply a small amount to your wrist or something to make sure you don't have a reaction before applying to your face.
